How To Make Ragdolls For Gmodl
Each separate object is converted into a convex hull. So you should have all faces that belong to a single convex object be a single smoothing group & texture. Also, it uses simple vertex connectivity to determine what an object is, so don't connect things you don't want turned into a single convex hull. Studiomdl does not optimize any of the meshes, it just makes convex hulls.

In general, it's totally fine for convex pieces to overlap. So if this lets you make the model out of fewer (but larger) convex pieces, then that is good for performance. Please do so. You want to have as few convex pieces as possible. Number of vertices is less important, but it should be on the order of a lower LOD of the render model. You're not going to feel/notice inaccuracies of 1" in any cases - there are plenty of other factors that players will notice first.
Now run HLMV. First, check the Physics Model checkbox. Check over the wireframe physics model to make sure it built correctly and that your vertex assignments are ok. Click the physics tab. Now you can go through each axis of each joint and set the joint limits. Again, if you copy the qc file from another character, you can start with its joint limits. Be sure to set the mass to something appropriate (in kilograms). 1 kilogram is 2.2 pounds.

Ragdolls are models of in game characters which you can manipulate with the use of the Physgun. Unlike props and other models, ragdolls have bones which allow them to be posed in a multitude of different ways.
Ragdolls can be spawned with the spawnmenu (Q), just like normal props. When spawned, ragdolls are limp, but with the use of different tools, they can posed. Using the Physgun, the bones of ragdolls can be moved and frozen independently. A ragdoll's bones can be unfrozen all at once by pressing R.
Most ragdolls are equipped with face and finger posing (controlled by the Face Poser and Finger Poser respectively). Other tools like the Inflator can also be used to change appearance of ragdolls. Prop tools like balloons and thrusters cannot be attached to most ragdolls.
GMod is a Sandbox Modification. Using GMod you can pose ragdolls. This means can position people from HL2/CS/DoD and change their faces. A big comic book creating community has popped up around this feature. Using GMod you can build. Take props from HL2/CS/DoD and weld them together to make walls. Axis a wheel to it to create a working car. Rope some cans to the back. A big contraption creating community has popped up around GMod - creating such things as Rube Goldberg devices, catapults, cannons, bridges etc.. Using GMod you can make your own weapons. That's right, make your own weapons. Using Lua you can create a custom weapon to do just about anything. If you're new you can change simple things like rate of fire, models, sounds. If you're awesome the world is your oyster, mass changing guns, melon cannons, jetpacks. GMod gives you the freedom to do any of these things in single player or online with your friends.
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a common heart disease in all cats and is most commonly genetic in cause. The disease causes thickening of the cardiac wall, which makes the heart pump blood less efficiently. It can, in some instances, lead to sudden death. In Ragdolls that are homozygous positive for the disease (having two copies of the HCM gene), the condition can present early (as young as six months) and tends to be severe, with most cats dying by age 3. Heterozygous (one copy of HCM gene) cats tend to have later onset and slower progression of the disease, with less severe impact.[32][33]
I have a windows 8.1 computer and I just got Garry's Mod yesterday so I decide to add the add-ons to make it more fun. When I downloaded a ragdoll add-on I go to Garry's mod, wait for to finish downloading, then when it's done, I have no ragdolls at all. So I search up "ragdolls" in the search box, nothing happens. Can someone please tell me if I missed something or if I did something wrong?
It sounds as if you did not actually restart the game after the download finished. Restart your game fully, and try again.Hold your SpawnMenu and find in the GAMES section the addon. It will contain a list of all the models and ragdolls that addon spawns, and you should be able to spawn them easily. If all else fails go to YourSteamFolder/steamapps/common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/addons and delete the .gma file relating to the addon (it should have the name of the addon in the name)
